Hi VT
A couple of thoughts.
I saw an article recently about BA's own museum facility/research archive in their Waterside Building near Heathrow which should include the BOAC Comet period and I remember a book written some years ago by George Banks about the history of airline cabin service.
The title was something like,
'Glamour and service in the skies'

Glamour of the skies
I do have this book, this is where I have confirmed some items about Elizabeth Arden and Yardley being provided for passengers. Limited reference to the Comet, more about VC 10. Very interesting info on Stewardess training, which I would like to expand on, curriculum, copy of reports, I have a video of the school but like all videos it is too brief and selective more used for promoting BOAC
I am looking for configuration of the galley, where were things stored, have just bought off Ebay a plated stacking milk jug which were used on the Comet giving a little more insight into storing of items but I still more information about the day to day running of the air craft by the stewards etc.
I also have nearly all the Comet books and publications, but still leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

There are some youtube clips courtesy of Pathe News that show what service was like on the inaugural JNB Comet service. There are also plenty about Cabin Service clips from VC.10's and 707's which presumably was based on the Comet.
