My airline is considering changing the total number of cabin crew it places on each aircraft. They are taking one off each type to compensate for the lack of duty free sales. How many other charter airlines are considering the same? Any rumours.
Not a good idea to reduce cabin crew generally. However, your company needs to make money, and as long as they leave enough cabin crew to cover each emergency exit and not drop below the minimum no. of crew to pax ratio, there's not alot anyone can do about it.
The rules are quite specific, 1 CC for each 50 seats fitted. That is seats not pax, at least that is here in the UK. LARA, are you as fit as the beutiful lady in my PC at home???

I hope you get used to it quite fast as there is normaly nothing WE can't do to prevent it from hapenig... In the airline I work for if the number of pax is below 80% of the acft. capacity we usually fly with less one CC,I think this wasn't as bad as we expected, the problem is when we have a full load on the return leg, usually business class pax complain more because they don't have as much attention, and we fell the diference when we arrive home...
