Air Malta

Hi Guys,

I was wandering if someone could give me some help. Air Malta fly out of birmingham and I have heard of some people leaving the other charter airlines as the money is better and so is the opportunity for promotion.

Does anyone here work for air malta or know any details. Do they have any nightstops or trips at all? I have checked their website and they have no scheduled longhaul but I was wandering if they did any adhoc flights at all.

Also any information about working conditions, pay, contract would be great.

God I have asked alot of questions but any help would be great.

Thanks guys and girls

xx

hi ya,
Work on the ground at birmingham, and as far as i am aware the air malta crew based at bhx do charter only routes, no long haul, no night stops, just there and back, and in the winter, expect a lot of egypt routes, on an aircraft that cant make it, last year they were always stopping for fuel on the way back!

Excel airways charter the air malta aircraft thats based at bhx so it is just charter routes, the air malta schedule services are operated with maltese crew from malta!

The crew that are already with air malta are great, the nicest in the aiport!

Airmalta

I know some crew that work there. They are based in Bristol, BHX and Manchester. Mainly its all turn arounds. There are a lot of Maltese crew but there are also british for sure working there. Not sure about the wage but I don't think it was bad.

Maybe you could call their office in the UK and ask if they recruit from UK which I'm pretty sure they do. Don't forget that all you'll be doing is turn arounds and I think the only good thing about this job is the layovers and getting to see the world ... if you want to stay in the UK why not try air New Zealand or an airline with which you can get to see the world ... its all about how well you can deal with people under pressure and common sense I never flew before and got accepted with EK straight away so you don't have to work your way up if you're confident and independant

evita i dont mind doing short haul. it's what i do at the moment and i dont think long haul is really suited to me. i dont like the idea of living out of a suitcase and being away from my home a lot. i dont tink everybody does this job for the travel. so air malta based in the UK would suit me down to the ground. thanx for the advice tho i will try calling them.

Air Malta UK

Does anybody out there work, or has anybody worked for Air Malta on one of their UK contracts? They are recruiting for BHX and MAN at the moment, and was just wondering if anybody could discuss rosters, pay, training, the company etc.
