A ? for check-in staff: Staff travel & loads

Here's a quick ? for any ex/current QF check in staff.

I am hoping to fly INT staff travel shortly. If the loads are very tight, eg 2,0 with 3-4 staff listed, what are the odds of getting on? Typically, what approximate numbers of full fare pax no-show etc? There is another flight a few days later that is pretty open at the moment but I need to get o/s asap so I am thinking about taking the chance... Will be my AL trip as well-would this put me in any better postition to get on? I don't care if I'm on the luggage racks, or in the hold with the frozen venison..

Also, if the load were say 2,20 and 8 staff listed, how many pax generally take upgrades? Would you expect any, if at all, economy seats to become available? I am not yet eligible to purchase JC tickets for International Staff Travel.

Any help appreciated.
