There are more pro's than I can shake a stick at, besides the obvious ones like good money (depending on what section, area, airline you work for etc...), lots of travel and the ability to travel on your own time at greatly reduced costs. I find that I have extra time to do things that I wouldn't otherwise have in a normal 9-5 job, like studying another language, uni course etc. This is usually done during slip time as time at home is precious and usually short. You meet lots of great people, then never see them again (and I was only thinking of the crew!)
cons, well, there are loads of them too. It's hard to maintain relationships outside of work, you're rarely home and when you are everyone else has different patterns. It can be a lonely job if you're the type of person who finds being on their own a lot a problem and a hotel room can be a claustrophobic experience if you're away for 9 days in a place where there is nothing to do or is too dangerous to try. fatigue is another thing that some people mention although I guess a lot of that comes down to yoru lifestyle and how fit you are. Being an on aircraft for 15 hours or more is not luxurious although I find working for these 15 hours much preferable than sitting down like the pax have to do.
I am sure everyone else can expand on their own views. At times I wonder if this is really the job for me, but in general I think it's a very very very hard job to top. Different strokes for different folks though. Good luck. You won't know till you try it!
