I wanted to become a flight attendant because i basically LOVE being in the air. The more i am in the sky the happier i am. I feel one of the luckiest people on the earth when i am on the aircraft!! To think that I CAN FLY is an amazing thing in itself. Through my love of flight i also want to become a pilot and im working on doing so right now. That made my desire to become cabin crew even greater.

If you show that you love flying and look enthusiastic in the prospective job then you will be fine. Its hard at times but the benefits by far outweigh the downfalls!

Good luck

Dave

I may not be able to move mountains and enforce world peace but God! I can make someones day.
I can smile at someone and warm their heart.
I can hold a childs hand and make them feel safe.
I can take a screaming baby from a frantic mother and give her 10 minutes of peace.
I can chat to an old man with no family and make him feel cared for.
I can say "what can I do for you?" with a smile from ear to ear, and make someone feel that they are special and I'm happy to help.
All small things, but it's surprising what people remember.
I love people and I make it my mission to get at least one smile from everyone I meet.
I genuinely like to take care of people.

For me it was just a love of flying and travel. Before I started flying and I travelled I was more interested in the flight, type of aircraft, airline, crew etc. For sure the lifestyle (getting worse these days though but still better than any office job) and last but not least staff travel.

Obviously you would never consider flying as cabin crew unless you enjoyed customer service so that goes without saying.

If you want a job with BA then saying you love to travel or being in the air isn't going to get you far in an interview at all, every man and woman and their dog comes out with those lines. Come up with something different that will make you stand out from the rest.

They are looking for answers that show how you are going to be in a cabin environment.

i.e

- I LOVE helping and meeting people from different walks of life
- I LOVE working as part of a team
- I LOVE a challenge and solving problems straight away

In all fairness though my interviewers (when I met them on line after I got the job) said I got the job mainly because I was enthusiastic, didn't have to think about answers (this shows you may be lying or making something up). And one which shocked me; they could see me in the uniform as I was in a suit and well groomed.

Hope this helps

All whats being said are the true facts!!...but dont say this at assesment. carry on with the usual bul$hit such as "I love serving people".

If you said whats written before (although its the truth) chances of getting in as CC will be tough, because, panel would think you want to fly only for your benifit and there is realy no interest towards buisness of avition.

cabin secure, I just have to say thats a great answer, I'd fly with you anyday!

For me it was the fact I love flying and I love people, it was combining both those interests. Everyday is the same, yet hugely different as well.

If you were to ask me what gets me through even the worse day, I'd say, when you pop out the top of cloud, from the worst day down below and its clear blue sky and perfect up there, who could ask for a better office?

For me, it's a love of aeroplanes, travelling and experiencing completely new and foreign cultures, working with a different group of people every trip, amazing overnights and of course the passengers and getting to make part of their travel experience a memorable one!
