Air NZ Walk-in interview info?

Air New Zealand have been inviting for walk-in interview about 5 times? since the application due.

I just don't know what does that mean.
They haven't found any good human resource, or they want to hire a big amount?

Hmm..
Anyway I got an invitation for walk-in interview again and this time I will attend which is on Monday coming up.
Is there anyone experienced walk-in interview at Air NZ??
Any information will be appreciated,

My friend went to one of those about 3 weeks ago!

His involved a 10 minute one on one, then a group challenge after. He got called the next day to attend the 2nd round, which was about 4 days later. In that interview he had more questions, they had to do some roleplay, and they had to do some PA announcements. Anyway he got the job If you have any more questions feel free to ask, he told me pretty much every single detail.

Thank you blueeyecabincrew.
wow, you have a great information...

They have been inviting for walk-in about 7 times since May.
So I wonder whether they need to hire a big amount or they are really carefully choosing person.

I think I ask you too much, if you can't answer its okay. I am pretty appreciated you replied me as I didn't expect someone reply.lol

What kind of thing they did in group challenge?
Do you know what the roleplay like??
Do you know if they check his unaided vision?
And did they really send him to the pool and check how fast he can swim?
I can swim but I can't really say I am good at it...so.

Thanks blueeyecabinccrew, I am too nervous...

The group challenge was where they were given the scenario of a train needing to transport 15 passengers but there were only seats for 10, and you have to pick who will have to wait for the next train which might be a hour later. My friend said something that it's better to go with elderly people, or sick etc because they need the most care.

Roleplay was something as simple as someone playing a passenger who wants to get out of his seat while the seatbelt sign was off.

Eyesight will be checked in his medical. He also had to go to his local pool and get a swimming instructor to sign off that he could swim 50 metres and tread water for 3 minutes.

As far as I know, while I know it can be a different length you need to swim for different airlines, you don't have to be swim fit. If you can do what is required of you, that is fine.

Happy to help

Thank you so much blueeyecabincrew,
I can't stop being nervous but I just gotta do what I can do I suppose.
I didn't even know what the roleplay like until you tell me.

Thanks again blueeyecabincrew,
Hope we both will be flying as cabin crew someday
