Long waits
I promise I don't mean to be negative here, but please get used to waiting. The Recruitment Dept have so much to get through, and this is unlike any recruitment process I've been involved in. It's best to try not to think about it too much, because it all takes so much time and there will be times where you don't hear anything and have no clue where you're at. It was six months before I heard anything after I submitted, and I forgot about it completely. Saying that, once it's done you won't think of it anymore. You'll get there, and I do hope you'll get some good news soon
I second that Mn64. It's nearly been exactly a year to the day since I applied in May 2016. I waited months in between submitting my video interview to attending an Assesment day in September 2016, and then from November 2016 - March 2017 I did not hear anything. It's been a long lengthy process, but I think the light is finally at the end of the long tunnel, and hope to hear something positive from them soon (still waiting for my background & security check to be complete).
Be patient, this application process takes time! Good luck to everyone

Hello everyone
So excited to report that I just received the golden call... Training date for early June in Melbourne. I applied back in May 2016. Good luck to everyone still waiting and my advice would be to be very patient and stay positive as this process can take quite awhile.

Oh wow congratulations Sarah77! That is so exciting! Very happy for you
Can I ask when you did your medical? I'm just waiting for the go ahead for that as my background & security checks have just had the final tick completed

I received my medical email on Friday 28th April. Hang in there as I believe the recruitment will be ongoing from here. Just very hard to put a time on any part of the process. One minute you think you are moving forward and then the next you could get put on hold for almost a year. Good luck

If you are in doubt, I would log back into Workday where you lodged the initial application, and check the status of your application. Yours should say something along the lines of "Applied xx Days Ago | Status: In Progress"
Hope that helps.

I genuinely think there is no cause for concern. QF don't seem to be distributing video interview invitations in any specific order to applicants either. Like I said, out of the handful of other applicants who I personally know, not one besides myself has received an invitation... (which is starting to cause me concern for being singled out )

GalleyHag correctly referenced this and to anyone curious, the agreement can be accessed by anyone on the fair work commission website.

Hey Goggle, I would highly recommend doing the practice questions first. If, like me you are not used to watching yourself on video talking to no-one in particular it was a bit off-putting. The questions themselves are pretty standard interview questions but just not having someone there to feed off sort of thing, it takes some getting used to. I found doing the practice ones really got me used to the format. Good Luck.

Hello fellow hopefuls,
I applied in April 2017 as an external candidate with flying experience (not sure if it matters to them though) for SYD base . Just completed the video interview.

I've flown other airlines but haven't heard anything about the digital interview yet. I'm so nervous 😩 do you think they won't send out any more invitations?
Just received the confirmation of my application email fewdays ago and they will be in touch very soon! What does that mean?🤔
