Great News For Domestic
QANTAS will delay delivery of two Airbus A380s scheduled to arrive early next year until 2016/17 in major spending cuts, but announced plans to boost its domestic network.
The airline announced the move as part of a $400 million spending cut in the next financial year.
But it will increase its domestic network dramatically with plane upgrades and more flights on routes between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
It will also bring back Boeing 747s on its Sydney and Perth route, plus more Airbus A330s the Melbourne and Perth route.
That will increase the capacity on those east coast and west coast routes.
Qantas also announced a big increase in capacity in its domestic business, as it fights to maintain at least 65 per cent market share.
"Our goal in the domestic market remains simple and consistent - we intend to retain the market share that enables us to maximise profit," Mr Joyce said in a statement.
Qantas will step up competition against Virgin Australia by adding extra services during peak times on the busiest east coast business routes between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
More details about new routes and timing would be announced at a later date, Qantas said

Thanks Bubbles, but I am still keeping my fingers crossed as I have been able to get a medical appointment only for Monday 14/05. I wonder if they would select me after doing this, because there is no guarantee is there?

Hi Ickle
Thanks for that.
I just got word that my security clearance is done and they have received my medical assessment as well. They said that it has to undergo a final review. I am crossing my fingers and praying really hard. :-)
Are you through by the way?

mr airliner
Thanks a lot. :-). Congrats again too.
Well, we haven't received anything yet. According to Bubbles, they usually send them out nearer the date. Well, as far as I know, it's only at Sydney. Did you hear otherwise?
Have a lovely Sunday.

well no, according to the mam website they're not hiring at the moment. I read another website saying that it's regulation to have cc no higher than 183cm? The last time I was at the airport there were many crew wandering the airport that were 6ft min.
