Continental Airlines hiring in the US

Continental Airlines is hiring in the United States. I hope that there may be some in this forum who are interested and qualify. The two basic requirements are:

1) Possess and maintain a valid United States passport or foreign passport with applicable visas.
2) Authorized to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

As noted in the link, United Airlines and Continental Airlines are now in the merger process and will be operated as separate entities until specific union contracts and agreements are made.

I hope that this may be able to help someone & Good Luck !!

If I, as an Australian, applied, and was successful enough to get an interview it'd be in the US hey?

Where does one start when looking into the visas and stuff you'd need to be eligible to live and work in the US?

I'm curious and keen enough to want to apply.

How Can I get A US Work Pernit Without a Job, Yet?

Hi,

To apply for United Airlines you have to:
1) Possess and maintain a valid United States passport or foreign passport with applicable visas.
2) Authorized to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

As it says:
" Possess and maintain a valid United States passport or foreign passport with applicable visas".
I have got a British Passport and I have got a Visa that I can enter and exit from USA without problems and the required visas to enter in all the countries that Continental Airlines Flies to.

I would like to ask to you or to anyone that may read this:
1) Do you think I am eligible to get this job or even to apply to it?
2) How can I get an USA work Permit without having a company to apply for me?
3) Is the way to get a work permit visa in America different from England?

Many Thanks in Advance for your Reply.

Quick response.

1) No
2) Marry a usa citizen, Enter the greencard lottery.
3) Not really different if you are from the USA and want to work in the UK, for both you would need a job offer and usualy profide a skill the dont have in either country, if you are a nurse in the UK you can aplly for a Visa in the USA because they are in need of nurses.

Many Thanks for your reply rolandibz.

I have asked because they mentioned:

Applicable visa as in a working visa, very hard to get. a normal visa, the one you get to get into the country when on holiday , doesnt allow you to work, but maybe you can apply for a holiday work visa, but i think to be able to apply for that one you will need a holiday work job offer.

It means, ".... you must have a green card..."

... even if you want to work in a fast food place, you must have a US passport or a green card....
