Returning to the skies?

I used to fly for BMED which I adored. I left to go back to uni and complete my nursing degree. I like nursing but am finding it hard to get a perm nursing job due to the NHS cutbacks and I'm newly qualified so it's even harder. I've been doing agency nursing which I don't mind but I miss flying somewhat but want to carry on nursing.

I'm going to apply for a couple of charter airlines at the airport in the city I live in...a temp contract would be great until I can get a perm nursing role.

Is it worth applying applying for BA? My friends there have warned me off Mixed Fleet. Virgin appears to be all one night stops, all my ex BMED friends hated bmi and have left. I would like to try ANA/JAL/Air NZ/Qantas but they aren't recruiting.

A lot of my friends who are still flying are telling me not to do it, that the industry has gone downhill etc and I guess they are right. BMED was such a good airline and I loved our trips.
