they reject someone if they find out that you are not suitable.. but if your medical certificates are all normal no need to worry.

anyone got cleared?

qwerty_asdf and bobo_elg:

Me neither, still waiting. 4 weeks and counting aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
It scares me to read in this forum that some people fell in some sort of administrative black hole and never got cleared!! Thatīs freaking me out...

WFTG: They can reject you if they find your health is not suitable to work as a cabin crew.

Cheers to all and best of lucks for those who are attending to the open days!
Donīt freak out, recruiters are very nice and they will make you laugh and feel at home. Go for it!!

Here are the facts:

QR can reject you at any time during the joining process.

The reasons could be different but most likely because you are not medically fit. They are very strict on this because both of you do have a responsibility. You need to have a good health to fly and not to be of any safety issue to yourself or the people you'll be working with. They will also give you a life insurance and wouldn't want to pay for any excisting medical condition that could deteriorate when you start flying.

wouldn't want to pay for an excisting medical condition which could deteriorate when you start flying.

Problems getting an entry visa for whatever reason (not a problem if you have never been there before and not banned from Qatar for life) or if they have found something in your application which isn't true could be other reasons for rejection. Not very likely though.

Both CC Recruitment and the Medical Centre are extremely busy for the time being because they are receiving a lot of applications.

Don't be scared to write or phone your HR Coordinator if you have any questions. They won't withdraw your offer because you are contactign them. That's what they are there for after all!

i had to re-do my CBC 3 weeks ago. before that they asked me to fix my x-ray report and some other reports... seems like every 3 weeks they e-mail me and ask for something else... i am in perfect health too, nothing showed any abnormality.

The waiting game...

Hi everyone,

I attended the FI at MAN in mid April, and found out 10 days later that I had been offered the job. I sent my medical exams to them within 5 days (by 1st May), but then didn't hear from them for 3-4 weeks. I then had to redo some tests as the doctors had done the wrong Hep A test and my audiogram wasn't correct. I then sent them the corrected results by the 4th June.

I then received the phone call from Avina on 14th June asking me to fly out to Doha on 20th June. Speaking to other people in my batch and from my expericence, it is normal to not hear anything for several weeks, then they'll ring you and give you 10-6 days notice.

I'm now 3 weeks into the training and I am really enjoying it. Yes, it is hard work and they are very strict, but the airline is striving for top quality so that's the way it works. If anyone has any questions about Doha and training with QR, Just email or PM me and I'll do my best to help!!

From this forum some of you guys got accepted with 15 degree mild scoliosis.. mine 9 degree and i received email that i did not obtain medical clearance.. it was my second opinion and they did not accept it. All my medicals are normal...Only God knows why i failed this time. BUt still i cant believe that Qatarairways is not fair.

I thought u said 15 degree and below is fine? Qwerty is 9 and she got rejected... Is it because that they do not accept second opinions?

medical

I received a mail from HQ saying that my medical reports have already been forwarded to the medical centre.

This is the scary, nerve-wrecking period...
I've been following this forum rather closely and I gather that Qatar is REALLY strict when it comes to physical fitness.

It has been a week since i sent them all my reports..

How long more...?
