Misdemeanor

I'm currently an FA for an airline in the US, but am really considering Emirates. My only concern is that I have a misdemeanor traffic violation on my record(from 8 years ago) and am wondering how this would affect my eligibilty for employment there. It was not something that disqualified me for my current FA job here in the states, but I don't know if Emirates' policies are stricter in that area. Could someone please clarify who is in the know? Thanks!

If you have reference letters make copies and send them to Emirates. Don't send originals.

All documents should be in english. Any documents in a language (other than English) should be translated into English by an authorised signatory.

I'm not sure if they will accept those with braces but you can at least try. The same is true for glasses, I guess. I'm planning to buy a contact lens this weekend for my preparation too.

Do anyone know how the SASS assess applicants? Do they assess your arms and legs as well? Or just the arm reach?

I'm kinda nervous.

About teeth and eyes....

Hello again, I was asking earlier about teeth and eyes/wearing glasses, Elleni was kind enough to post all of the information on the previous page. So if you look there, all the answers have been provided!!

As for braces, EK say teeth should be of acceptable appearance, I suppose the kind of braces which go on the rear of teeth would be ok as they cannot be seen? Not sure about other kinds though, my guess is they would make you wait to apply when you have braces off.

Anyone else here going to open day in Perth, Australia next Saturday the 12th? I cant make it to the adelaide one.

Assessment Day in NY

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask you: has anyone from this forum attended the Emirates open day that took place here in New York on June 25th?, if you did, does anyone already know the exact date for the NY assessment day? has anyone already received the invite?, ( that day they told us it would be this month). I'll be looking forward for your answers.

THANK YOU

SASS Atlantic

Hello!

Can anyone help me on how the SASS Atlantic assessment is? Should we wear a corporate attire for their assessment? I'm sooooo nervous. I have called them and I was informed that the Emirates assessment will be on a different date. Will their (SASS) assessment be different from what is posted here (Emirates assessment)? or it's merely the same and the final interview may be the day for the Emirates crew? Gosh! I'm so so nervous and I can't seem to think properly. I hope you guys can enlighten me on this. please...

Family living in Dubai

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody knows if Emirates hire staff who wish to relocate there family with them. I have heard of family units (from an unreliable source) for staff with children. My husband can relocate his work to Dubai and I would love to work for Emirates but could not if they can’t come with me.

Thanks in advance for your reply’s

relocation

You'll definitely be relocated in Dubai and you may have visitors in your flat but you have to register them in Emirates. I mean you should inform them that you'll be having visitors, then if permitted, they can stay for about 6 months in your flat (that's the longest I think).

Maybe you can just visit your family in your husband's flat (since he's relocated there too).
