Foreign planes in the US.
I have been curious about something and hope someone here may provide an answer.
Is an EC-country registered aircraft with an EASA certificate allowed to fly in the US with a pilot holding an EASA ATPL?
For instance, say a German holds an ATPL license with the required type rating and owns a "D" registered Phenom 300.
Is he allowed to fly the Phenom extensively in the US?
Thanks.

Affirmative, happens all the time. There is all sorts of foreign-registered stuff buzzing around the US. Now, what insurance implications there are (if any) in such an arrangement is another matter.
