Looking for a G550 to buy

Hello to all,

the owner for whom I am flying wants to upgrade to a G 550. Perhaps someone can inform me about aircraft which are for sale.
Any pm's will be forwarded to the gentlemen involved in the decision making process.
Thanks a lot and happy landings

Great news for you!

The G500 might be worth considering should your boss not need the 550 range (5800 vs 6750 NM).

Metrojet in HKG might have a cheap one available - before or after the rats have been removed....

Get yourself 2 brokers, and watch them compete. Then, when you have found an aircraft that interests you, hire a good maintenance expert to supervise the pre-buy process.

Unless you are an Gulfstream expert and a money-man yourself, there's NO way you can safely avoid the broker fees associated with a sale, no matter how simple and straightforward.

As for the MXX-consultant, the 20'000$ you are going to spend on him are absolute peanuts compared to the money and aggravation he will save you.

There are plenty of "cheap" G550s out there. Finding one with the warranty programs paid up, that will stay compliant for the next few years without Millions of upgrades, and with no hidden issues, is not as simple as it sounds.

May be it's worth to contact Gulfstream direct, as to my knowledge, there are some white tails available. As it's buyer market, you might get one for a decent price

There is at least 1 Chinese Pedigree G550 that can be bought in the mid teens. Early SN's on eng programs can be had under $20M. Hard to believe these same planes were commanding mid $20s 2 years ago, although I do believe we are out of the era of steep depreciation

The simple reasion G550's are cheaper is the G650 and G650ER, whe you are looking at the top of the range in terms of anything, once something better comes out the previous top of the range always goes down in price.

500's & 600's are also definitely good news for anyone wanting a G550, not so good for present owners!!
