Fuel Stop Muscat OOMS
Anyone out there who will share his experience in doing a Biz Jet fuel stop in OOMS? Up to now we used OMAD, quite good but I’m looking for an alternative.
Tnx for any inputs!

Banana skins are unpublished WIP that might find your apron cut off from the airfield (more a historical anecdote), and there are GA curfews where you won't get any service like fuel etc because of the airliner peak activity.
PM me if you want help/alternatives.

OOMS can be a nightmare if staying overnight. You'll clear customs then be expected to taxi the aircraft to a remote stand then do the reverse for the departure.
Fuel stops are easy but avoid busy periods 0445z to 0815z and 1700z to 2200z. Otherwise you probably won't get slots.

Been to Muscat a few times for fuel because the Company thougt it is better than the other options in the area.
Always was dissapointed. I personally had the best experience in Fujairah OMFJ.
Super quick, no traffic but the Fuel little more expensive then in the other places.
Have fun and enjoy

Thanks to all for the inputs
Seems like OMFJ would be a good alternate for OMAD... Still a bit sceptical about OOMS. Recently we got twice a slot restrcition out of OMAD around midnight, due to heavy traffic at Muscat. Guess this might happen too out of OMFJ.

OMFJ - don't bother. Also limiting on IAPs.
Have you thought about Al Ain (OMAL)? They've always been good to me although you're not going to get Dhabijet quality handling.

My 5 cents but I would use Gama in Sharjah. Its like a F1 GP pit stop! depending on type of a/c you could comfortably turn around in 30 - 45 min and they are very well priced in the market. Nice FBO as well.

I'd second Gama at Sharjah for a quick turn; great operation; cost of fuel slightly more than DXB which is the best in the region (but can take some time to arrive at the aircraft). That being said we had a 50 minute turnaround in DXB in the past 2 weeks, uplifted pax and gas.
On a related, but off-topic note be careful of significantly increased parking fees in the area. DWC now at $450 a day from Day 5 on and Sharjah (Gama) just upped their rates from under $100 a day to a cap of $350 from Day 5 from 1 August. They gotta make their money somehow. And the greed pervades.
