CAE/Simuflite Morristown, N.J. in the U.S. seems to have the best pricing. Outside the U.S., I have no idea.

If you're currently a G550 Captain, why don't you have better info than the riff raff on PPRUNE?

FSI is miles ahead of ECFT... CAE does NOT have a 550 systems manual. Yup, you get given a GV manual, and then they say "Please don't read this"...

Go to Savannah! It's where they build them.

Last time I was in a Muslim country, I told a maintenance guy "If you're Muslim, pray to Mecca, If you're a business jet pilot, pray to Savannah.

If you're paying for it, and also looking for a full time position, please do not do GV and differences. With many 550 operators your resume won't get past initial review

The G550 training gets you the GV cert, thats what it says, it also gets you G450 and G550 differences.
Obviously if you have actual 550 experience then that is going to count.
Anyhow, FSI do it in Savannah, Long Beach and Hong Kong now, I believe.

HK will also require you to sell your wife, dog, kids and take out a second and third mortgage for training at a sub standard poor excuse for FSI. ( instructors excluded)
IMHO, go to SAV, DXB, LGB or Morristown, I have been to all 5 and found the last 4 much of a muchness, in fact enjoyed the Morristown experience the most.

I have a friend at CAE Burgess Hill in the UK and every time I have visited their G550 team I have been very impressed.

CAE Dallas has G550 recurrent starting on Mondays and Fridays, although they switch between 550/450 each month. Price includes 3rd sim session. Loaner ipad for training (AFM, AOM, QRH, CWOM, MMEL, iBook has some training material) but no paper manuals to take with you.
