I was just intrigued as to whether or not this was something that has come off the CAA to Centreline off an FOI or similar.

Cheers,

SKP

The regulation (EASA-OPS) was set to be in force April 8th this year. It has not made it into force yet, let alone the translations had been made. The LBA told us last week tuesday, that the new deadline will be April 8th 2014. So we will have to have the book ready by then. Reg.SMS - which is a ICAO mandated thingy - I´m not sure, but think it is also 8th of April 2014.

The LBA also pointed out that they have no idea how to meet that deadline, as their demand for personnel has been turned down by the secretary of transport.

I guess the CAA will use the same deadline...

A demand was not and will not be issued, at least not in Germany.

Interesting post hiss dudeness.

If you are correct it would appear that the wheels are starting to fall off some of the latest EASA nonsense.

Let's hope so.
