Kigali Rwanda

Have a trip in early 09 to HRYR, Kigali Rwanda with a GV.

Any tips? Hotels? Security? Places to avoid?

I've been there just one night 6 month ago for a hospital flight !! we haven't any problems (exept for the catering) it seems to be safe country (for africa), the hotel des milles collines wasn't very luxurious but clean and quiet.

Good Stop
Hotel Serena is the best in town Others to be avoided.
Airport good
Catering arrange from Hotel( Limited selection)
Check Fuel availability carry sufficient to get to HUEN ( entebbe )
Potable Water arrange beforehand
No Oxygen available
Security very good- best in Africa City safe at all hours
Atis available on Acars

Lots of birds at Dawn. They have an active bird programm
