FYI

Expect an article on the company in Flight International in March.
There will be an advert published in the same issue for pilots.

First A/C arrives Sep 09 with roughly 1 new hull per month from then on.

Maybe, just maybe they are looking for a new angle in the aviation industry that none of us have thought of yet! JB is a clever sausage after all. I think they intend use the Learjets as a mobile coffee shops, just park them up and let people wander in for the worlds best expresso. Tunnocks caramel wafers, chocolate marshmallow biscuits, the possibilities are endless.

Right, where do I sign? I walk past these f*ckers in Tesco every week and it takes huge reserves of will power not to buy a packet and gorge on them in the car park.

Sorry, went slightly off topic there. Where were we?

JR

I quote you !!!
Yo are perfectly right, many of them are Off topic or the do not think before writing.
I think Jet rep have solid basis and will have a bright future as competitor of net jet.
Maybe I am wrong but I do not think so.

I believe it when I see it. Warren Buffet type of backup, do they have that?

How long did NJE take to make a tiny profit, compared to losses?

IŽll take my money to the state lottery, better chances of winning me thinks.

IŽd love them to be succesful, since thar means jobs, but...

1) existing companies have made huge investments and are only barely making a profit.

2) only one type of aircraft limits customers.

3) long landing distance of selected type limits available runways.

4) terrible time to raise the large amounts of money required.

5) demand for private jets is dropping with the economy.

If NetJets is having a rough go of it, what makes these guys likely to do it better?

Unfortunately Fischmeister, idiots with glib tongues and slick business plans and fancy Powerpoint presentations who convince bankers ( need I say more) to finance a project, regarded by those in the business as a complete non starter, do fundamental lasting damge to legitimate start ups when they can't raise funding!

TRSS,

IŽd recon the idiot side more likely with the bankers and others.

It amazes me, with which regulor reoccurence companies do start that make everything better than the old ones. Smile on owners/clients faces, smiles on company executive faces.

Lasts usually a year or two, then most owners do make a summary and surprise, surprise, no perpetuum mobile invented, just regular ordenary business.

I sure hope JR can start and create GOOD jobs, but then I have thought DCA would not lay off people, or Vista would not struggle etcetc. (just examples, nothing personal meant)

Jet Espresso

  • Netjets saw off Flexjet years ago in Europe and now have a monopoly on frax over here.
  • Netjets are now stronger than ever (ok slight recession but they have pots of cash and availability)
  • JR think they can take NJE on head to head in a frax sales situation when Flexjet could not?
  • Surely Netjets will pee all over JR...........big time
  • Or I eat my hat, with ketchup, no espresso....
I dont work for NJE by the way....
