Hi all,

Does anyone know of NJE hiring plans for 2008?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

WOW. Thanks for the link to that press release. That is incredible. Another 750 pilots in 4 years. Amazing. That is good for the whole industry.

@That is good for the whole industry.

I´d doubt that.
Quote of an exchange I had with a handler recently:
You know, there are others that like to be handled or get slots, but yeah, there is a NetJets in front of you and even if he came after you they are better business than you are.

And that happens a lot on NJE frequents bases and meanwhile also at some of their maintenance bases. Try JA DUS to do something on your airplane whilst an urgent NJE aircraft is there.

And no, not bitter. Had tried to join 4 times (3 times no response at all) and turned them down on 4th occasion since I had a commitment by then.

Still, as a pilot I think its good on a short time base for pilots.

I take it that the article was written by the Netjets PR department. Surely no journalist worth his salt would use such sycophantic phrases. Unless he was after a free ride?

Only positive comments?

Ok. How about.............. It'll be good news for those wanting to join that around 60 pilots have resigned so far this year, they'll need to be replaced.

How's that?

That is good news for the whole industry (companies being part of it), as other companies have about extra 60 available pilots to hire from .

What is the reason for the high turnover. It seems that they are making an effort to improve the T'&C's for the Pilots?
Is there still a way to go then?

My reference to good news for the industry refers to the pilot side. Although I do concern myself with companies, I'm interested in the job prospects and any company that needs so many pilots for sure will have to work harder to get them. That's good news for pilots.

It is mainly growth for the 30 aircraft per annum added

blabla. I think you lost something in the translation.

'Turnover' means pilots leaving. That has nothing to do with any new aircraft.

Smeagel from 900 to 1500 is 600 growth. Add to this the turnover and you see a large pilot requirement hence the much improved T&C package we got

And I wasn't concerned with the new aircraft....my question was just as stated re:turnover.
They (NetJets) seemed to haved upped their game....see the new website, and are putting accross a modern profile.
My question was has the T's and C's improved too?
Blabla has answered it thanks, only it is a move I may consider in the new year.

Indeed I too may consider a move. I understand they are tweaking their terms and conditions again soon, is there any news on how?

They seem pretty good to me at the moment.

blabla. I never said it wasn't growth, I was merely pointing out your misunderstanding which is unchanged.

On the subject of better conditions would that be for ALL Netjets crew? Including those facing a 90% tax bill? Please, tell me more!

Hi Smeagel

The money received from NJ when the new T&C's came in to get a tax advisor has been put to good use thank you. i understand that there is still a problem with the french pilotssame like these guys have Easy Jet Paris Base So if there will have to be a seperate French contract like EZ i do not know but the french authorithies will have to adaot to the EU at some point. There are by now more french flying outside of france then there are in France

I am pleased with the changes and I understand that the company is in talks with the Belgium tax people to get pilots with a bru gateway a normal tax aknowledgement. So no idea what the percentage is but impressed by the approach they have taken and the mess of the past is for 90% cleared

regards

blabla.

So everyone has had their tax and social contributions sorted out to their satisfaction at last? Fantastic news if that is the case.

Is that ALL crew in ALL countries?

Has the company finally achieved a satisfactory agreement with crew?

Have the crew unanimously accepted the new contract?

If these issues have been resolved that is wonderful. Have they?

Hi

I don't know what you are looking for but as you could read in my posting France is and Belgium might have issues just like any other airline without a base there. That is what I know that the company is working on. Other countries might have issues but not as bad as in those two. Having been involved in SN i know a lot about the Berlgium tax issues and it is the worst in Europe...

I never said that everybody is / was happy but what I can see is that the number of issues affecting crew in the last two years has been reduced dramitically and I see the company makes a big effort to sort out the last issues

Ah. So not so good after all.

Still, I see that you say you are pleased with the changes. I guess the remaining 10% of your colleagues will just have to take care of themselves eh?
