Bristol Brigand Met 3s

Am urgently seeking photos of Brigand Met 3s of 1301 Met Flt, RAF Negombo, 1949-51 for planned magazine article. (Already have the Wikipedia shot of ac at Luqa!). Can anyone help?

Can I suggest you try the RAF Museum photographic archive?

...or you could try the privately circulated 'Roundel / British Roundel', which covered the complete history of the Brigand Met.3s, which included the history of each aircraft and even feature the odd photograph? Just a thought?

Yep, the RAF Museum are already on the case for pix & I have the Ac Mov Cards. Turning to Roundel magazine, I've heard mention of this together with the name of Phil Spencer. Does anyone have any leads on who produced it. Not one I'm familiar with. (Vampiredave, I have your books!)

Roundel was produced by BARG - the British (originally Blackbushe) Aviation Research Group.

Issues come up from time to time on eBay.

Yes. I have one my father took in 1950. Send me a real e-mail address by PM and I will forward his pics from that time.

For Dan Winterland. Would be very grateful indeed to get my hands on a shot of a 1301 Flt Brigand at Negombo. If you have one please send it to me at: [email protected]. (If its what you say it is, it would be my first pic of a bird at Negombo!!)
