Photos on eBay

This chap's list of photos includes some 1940s/50s VSCC aeroplanes racing as well as VSCC racing and warships.

I can say that he is not reliable on his identification of the aeroplanes and at least one car, but if you know what it is and want it, that doesn't matter.

e.g. this RAF Gloster Meteor

But where else would you find not just a photo of a Short Sperrin but the DH Engines Gyron FTB?

Having written that, I see the Wikipedia entry only has photos of that aeroplane in that role.

The car identification is remarkable for a "Lagonda" that not only looks like a 1750 Alfa Romeo but has that clearly written on the radiator:

Must admit, I'm struggling to identify the "RAF Meteor" Allan, looks like the offspring of a Hunter and a 737!

Edit: Vautour?

I see that one of the other "Meteor" photos is a Canberra.

From what I gather he has a number of photos for sale of the original John Stroud Collection although quite a few have already been sold. I may be wrong though but that is what I was told.
