Tracing an ex ww2 Pilot

hi, i'm hoping someone can tell me where to start, I am trying to trace my grandfathers RAF service records, I don't know to only that he served as a pilot in WW2 and his name Thomas Barry and that he was from Co.Cork in Ireland hope someone has a clue where I can start. Tia

You need to apply to the MOD - the relevant forms are at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/requests...ervice-records

When you eventually get the copy, it may not make much sense; the Archive and Library team at the RAF Museum [email protected] have a lot of experience in interpreting the abbreviations and jargon that make up the records.
