Spitfire at Manchester Airport

Did a low pass fly-by down 05L late morning Friday 15th August. Anyone know which Spitfire and why the fly-by?

I have no personal knowledge of the event, but the second post in the following link suggests that it was G-RRGN.

Perhaps it was returning from GLA to EMA, called MAN ATC for transit, and they requested a flypast?
