Thumbs up The Men Who Went To Warsaw

Tinus le Roux an SA Film Director who has been conducting a series of 'film interviews' with primarily SAAF WWII personnel, has now released on YouTube The Men Who Went To Warsaw' to mark the actual 70th Anniversary of the SAAF's commencement of operations in support of the 'Warsaw Uprising'

Another 31/34 SAAF video Oct '44 Alpine Disaster

Just received link from Anne Storm for this YouTube video related to the Oct '44 Alpine Disaster when 6 of 20 Liberators of 31/34 SAAF were lost on a Supply Drop to Northern Italy

Anne's RAAF father was the Observer on KH158 which sadly has not been found to this day (coincidentally he had completed 2 of the Warsaw Drops referred to in my post above)

The part that the Poles played in WW2 deserves wider recognition. Fearless, dedicated and skilled flyers. Fine people who have suffered enormously throughout history.
