I thought it would be mate.

for example
I deduced that was EG, as in UK ICAO designators.

So I ruled out Egginton.

On the other hand, I wonder if its' designator starts with X......

Forget about EG - and no idea what its designator is/was!

I'll take the OH if I may, since I'll be out of it for a while after Friday. "Bird, with hesitation, meets deer" Manufacturer and aircraft.

Too easy, wasn't it? Right of course. All yours. I'm going to the woods in Sweden, no TV, no internet, lots of fresh air and exercise.

Very appropriate given your location , A2. Had one trip up country in Malaya in a Pioneer. The pilot demonstrated what it was like with all the flaps down - like flying in a tunnel. Even the overloaded trucks on the road below were overtaking us!

Over to you.

Thanks TTN,

I’d never heard of this aircraft until I came across its name today;it’s a bit convoluted, but devoted anagram solvers might enjoy it:

Manufacturer and Aircraft.

The makers’ riding disaster was solved when they tried using rasher nags.
