Cows getting bigger is correct.
Opened in 1918, RAF Fowlmere was used by the RAF and the USAAS. Operated Spitfires during WW2. Closed in 1946 and sold back to local farmers in 1957. Now only grass runways and light aircraft.

yes oldpax it is koh samui.
to the very north of the strip there is a local restaurant with coconut leaf roof and open sides. the landing aircraft come over the roof at about 200ft.
truly a magic spot for plane spotting and the food is wonderful.
this photo was taken from the carpark looking south. restaurant is called Koaw Hom.
