But I've never seen this picture on Pprune, so maybe I remembered its shape because I frequently browse through Aviastar...
Btw, well done skwinty!

S*** I forgot again!
See, skwinty, a challenge must be validated by the poster before the solver can post a new one.
Else... You'll get a reprimand from LM! There must be order in this thread.
If one cannot monitor a challenge/hasn't one ready/must dash away, can declare an Open House, even before confirmation (the formula, in that case, is "OH if right"), but never can a challenge be posted before a confirmation.
If the poster is not online for a certain number of hours (12 I believe), an agreement can be reached among Ppruners to validate the challenge in absence of the original poster, but this happens in exceptional cases and it must be evident that the guess is correct.

The rule is that the poster of the challenge has to call the winner, before the cracker goes on. Only in the case of delayed call (over 12 hours) a quorung of "resident PPRuNers" can call the winner or declare open house. See the guidelines in the link http://www.pprune.org/aviation-histo...ml#post3884576.
The heck with the reprimands. It is just to avoid anarchy……
I am heading to bed, too. But don't worry, we all have learned by doing and as we go. You are doing fine skwinty

Yes, yes, yes, skwinty is correct. It was indeed the Doblhoff WNF-342V-2. There is so much extraneous chaff on this forum, that it probably appears to the novitiate that there are no rules.
