Hi Karl. I was thinking French originally, but possibly from the USA?
Curtiss CS-1?

Very close Graeme; the production model of the Curtiss CS was from a different manufacturer and the challenge is an improved version of that.

Sorry for the delinquent reply... David has it with the Martin T3M , in this case; T3M-2 with the engine upgrade.

LM has control .

Thanks Karl.

Graeme did the spadework, so with due respect I feel it should be awarded to him.

Cheers.

Your control Graeme. As LM indicates, you dug up the original; Curtiss CS in which the Martin T3M was based upon.

Thanks Karl and LM. It's always good to lose and still win a prize.

An easy one in return then....

Well done mate.

After landing they replaced the tyres with old ones to preserve them by preventing excessive wear when towing the X-15 away.

Your control Mel.

Looks similar to the post-war Italian designed Colli PL2C Aerauto.
Is it a Luigi Pellarini design ? Perhaps the PL5C ?

You have it Bri. It is a photograph of the Aerauto PL.5c designed by Eng. Pellarini.

You have control.
