Wanted - Old Flight International Mags

Hi

My son (who's 8 ) is trying to build up a collection of Flight magazines, he has most of the 1990's onwards but is looking for issues from the 1970's & 80's. If anyone is chucking any out please let me know. We live VERY near to EGNX!

kind regards

Kev... on behalf of Oliver

Braniff601 (is that from N601BN?).
Plenty of old Flight International's on ebay at present, including some from the 70's/80's.
Cheers

Have looked on there but postage is hefty and they are on for silly amounts but never seem to sell! Close with the question though re my user name, It comes from the flight No of the LGW service... which was almost always N601BN... ahhhh happy days :-)

Yes, I saw that they weren't cheap! As you say, I think you will have to be reliant on someone disposing of their collection.
Remember seeing the Braniff 747's in LGW - occasionally saw the "orange squash" as well (the 747SP) as well as the odd DC8. Great days!
You've probably worked out that my "name" is also derived from a flight number used in the late 70's/early 80's!

I collect Flight/Aeroplane/Flying Review and Pop Flying mags and also live near EGNX... but happily I'm not interested in any post 1970 magazines of any flavour. - So will certainly let you know if I come across any on my travels.

These magazines are becoming increasingly difficult to find, but they are there to be found if you persevere.... I don't use ebay so can`t comment on prices but postage rarely stacks up unless you're shipping a large number in one go.

Don't underestimate how much room they'll take up though if the collection grows..

Looking to dispose of 12 bound volumes of FLIGHT from 1909 to 1920

Only a serious cashed up collector would be a likely contender

located Australia or New Zealand would incur less freight charges, of course

To amplify T-21's post, here's the link.

http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/

(Now you'll have an 8 year old on the computer all day!)
