'fraid not - only memories of Jav 9's starting their take off runs heading the opposite way , wheeling round at high speed on the piano keys to launch down the runway with a few extra knots built up . That and a Caledonian Britannia landing short and emerging nose down from the dust to thump down safe on the runway threshold.

Yes I've just been reading about that elsewhere - evidently they met up with Rhodesian Hunters and Canberras at the border quite often ( on a friendly footing I hasten to add!)

Ah, the late Ken FitzRoy wrote about taking RAF Brits down to Lusaka from Nairobi during that period, ferrying fuel and other sundries as I recall. Turning round at the far end of the runway after landing to see a BOAC VC-10 doing the same at the next turning circle.
I think 66 is indeed the year.
If you can find Ken's book "No Time on the Ground", it's a super read.
