Vickers Vildebeest.......... or possibly the Blackburn Beagle is the nearest I reckon but I don't think the Beagle ever made it to Costa Rica.

Blackburn Lincoln or Piaggio P.11 ? All are pretty similar

Hi Diablo.
Lousy bit of photoshop, but I scanned my photo, reversed it (you're looking at the port side) and painted three dark amigos in front.

I think it's the Curtiss OC-2. I have no idea if there is a Costa Rican connection.

I have passed on those messages to my curious friend who appreciates the reply. The Curtiss looks likely.

Thankyou; I knew that the answer would be here, nice to see I was right.

I agree with Noyade. Most probably Columbian Cyclone Falcons, the most numerous (100), built. Five South American countries operated variants of the type, but I, also, could find no Central American connection. Possibly photographed in the early 1930s on a delivery flight.

Did you mean the Blackburn Lincock?

Yes, Blackburn Lincock.

I always enjoy playing, but equally am prepared to bow to superior knowledge

And Noyade, you are absolutely right....closer inspection it is a composite with the trio photoshopped on top of a stock photo......peculiar.
