Would that be Burt Rutan's "optionally manned" Scaled Composites Model 355 ??

It would be, although it was officially unveiled this week as Northrop-Grumman Firebird

So control goes back to you again, TC.

Thanks Ton; I hadn't seen any news of that renaming yet, been heads down with work all week!

N.B. to Mel; please include both names in your list to avoid confusion

It'll have to be an Open House please, as I gotta go now! I'll be back later from home and will take it back if nobody else has used it.

Yes, HP.

You've got it exactly right.

Control to you.

Well it sort of looks like the Hawker P.1127, so it probably isn't?

Yep, looks like... not a Hawker prototype unfortunately.

Edit: there's a reason why it looks similar, and it's neither a manufacturer-specific style nor a country-specific style (i.e.: it's not from Hawker and it's not British)

Spot on...
Don't think it has actually been built, though.

Evening HP,

I was going to ask if it was one of the proposed Nord projects of 1960, the 4210 or 4400, to be built around the Bristol BE 53/8 or BS-100 ??

But seeing your latest comment doubt it was!

Nope.
It's European, though.

Edit: evening SincoTC
No, not a Nord Aviation, but you're getting hotter...

How about if I say you're right?

The Breguet Br. 1110 VTOL concept

Different engine configurations (1 Bristol, 4 RR, one Atar) depending on the model (A to D)

Thanks HP,

Sorry about the quality, but it's all I have at the moment and I have to get something to eat, but I will keep an eye on things!

In view of the preceding challenges, another one intended to go straight up, but will no doubt get shot down in record time (and allow me to get on with the cooking )!

That's the one mate and fast enough that I haven't burnt anything (yet )!!

The 1921 Berliner Helicopter (single-wing, rotary-powered helicopter with deflector vanes at the wingtips) One of quite a few designs built between 1907 and 1924.
