Good afternoon evansb,

Very amusing; all I can say is that they'll have to budget for a bigger donk as the current one is less than 100kW !!

I'll just bring the current Challenge forward so there's no confusion with Brian's tongue-in-cheek suggestion above

To sum up and add a little clue; It is very much a current project, an autogyro, designed in one country, for the conversion of an existing kit produced in another country, one of these two being America! Its powerplant, not yet revealed, but implied, is in the range 80 to 100kW

Morning gents. Pretty cold up here. -29° last night. I cannot make heads or tails of your current travel agency - funny-fan discussion, so I'll go prepare elk stew for the evening, starting from a considerable junk of elk....

See you guys later.

I miss you Ken.

Please come back.

No idea Stig. I've tried going about this the other way. Try and find the existing kit and then move onto the project. I've looked at American (assuming that it's the "existing kit") autogyros with a similar shaped tail hoping it will lead to the project. The best I can come up with is the Star Bee Gyro - but I can't find any connection to your artists Apache looking canopy.

Cheers.

Good evening Graeme,

I second your plea to Ken, we all miss him!

Regarding the current challenge.

If you go back and look at my last rotorcraft challenge at the end of January, you will soon find where I got this challenge mate (there's a vague Steve Irwin connection that you may remember)!

The "other" country is a big Islamic State, but not the biggest!

Edited to say, got to attend a meeting now, back in fifty minutes!

Mate I did find the bottom image from a "Stingray" site but the bloke who drew it says it was pure fantasy? No?

See here...

Rehan Janjua - Stingray AP-ZAZ / "Rehan 2011" / "Mini-Cobra". However Graeme should get the credit.

Easy when you read the markings on the flipped image.

Nice one Mel - I wasn't far behind you.

Agreed it should go to Graeme.

Has anyone heard from Ken?

Nope, I'm off to bed.

Had another look at that forum. He seems to be responding to a member called "Rehan" so I thought it was just his imaginary autogyro...?

Rehan, is this how you want your autogyro to look?
Has anyone heard from Ken?
Nope.

Subtract 75% of those posts as nothing more than mindless banter.
So, lets say 1,500 is a more realistic number....

When the Stig gets back...tell him that his challenge was a 6 outta 10. "Can do better". "Easily distracted and disruptive in class".

You write report cards David?

That means your count is about 500 then......

I'm off as well now - see you tomorrow I hope.
