A Whirlwind Engine plate...
Not very exciting I know but it's another little bit of the puzzle finished, ready to go into our 3D rebuild of Westlands canon fighter.
As we had only the one photo of the plate and that was not complete, we've had to replicate one for it's virtual cockpit. I'm quite pleased with the way it's turned out but would like some feedback from your goodselves, as to authenticity, colour, text-positioning etc...
The Peregrine data figures were taken from the Pilots Notes running on 87 octane. We couldn’t use the ones in the photo from the prototype, as they are not clear enough to discern.

Mr Bluesky
I thought the Whirlwind looked a light year ahead of contemporary British aircraft design. If it had better engines, it might have been on a par with the Mosquito, Lanc and spitfire.
Anyway, thought you might like to look at these photos, which show Whirlwinds being serviced and it might be of help. There seem to ba about 10 in this section, don't know if others are elsewhere, but you and others might enjoy them!

Beautiful photo's, we've used them alot to check that our model is correct. Makes you wonder what else has been tucked away, just waiting for someone to find...
Here's the rest...
