McDonnell Model 119
Designed for a 1956 USAF contract which was won by the Lockheed Jetstar. The civil version was to be known as the McDonnell 220. Only one was built and resembled a midget B 707 (4 engines in pods). Thus far only found a brief history and a few photos through Google. Anyone have a source of further info – technical, scale drawings, cutaway drawings etc?

Looks like Durand held onto it for quite a while, because he sold it in 2003. Had all the paperwork and drawings as well:

10/09/2003 - The Famous McDonnell 220 - Serial number one and the only one - 4 engine bizjet prototype - One of the most beautiful aircraft ever designed - Licensed and flying in the experimental/exhibition category - We have all of the spares and all of the paperwork/drawings/books on this ultra rare machine since new - 480 knot cruise speed - Less than 600 hours total time since new - THE ULTIMATE TOY !!For those who don't know, this aircraft looks like a small Boeing 707, and is about the size of a Gulfstream III - Fly her or donate her to a museum, or both.480 knot cruise !! Aaah yes, one of the best looking airplanes ever built IMHO.
After losing the UCX competition to the Lockheed Jetstar (aaah again) the sole 119 was rebranded the 220 in hopes of a civil market.
Engines: 4 x Westinghouse J34 of 2,980lbs
Max speed: 560 mph
Cruise: 520 mph
Range: 3,000 sm
Ceiling: 45,000
Loaded weight: 41,000 lbs (est)
Span: 57' 7.25"
Length: 66' 6"
Height: 23' 7.75"
Area: 550' sq
