B17 at HOUston Hobby

You can move this to spotters corner if you want

I saw a B17 undergoing a check at the NW corner of Houston Hobby this morning. The cockpit area was covered and the rudder was off. I thought it was the one from Galveston, but I saw a flyer for the museum with a picture of a different one. The one I saw was OD with a red vertical stripe on the tail and a white L in a black triangle. It was coded VP. I'd have taken pictures, but my phone was out of battery.

Not really a strange sight I know, but still oddly reassuring to see.

Seeing as I got such an overwhealming response, I thought I'd update y'all.

She's still there, but the wings are off now.

Didn't see the original post, it's Texas Raiders undergoing some AD compliance maintenance.
