Why is it that because someone has a high profile, be it an actor, sportsperson, pop star they think they know it all.

It will be interesting in a hundred years or so to see what is being said then about climate change.

There's been plenty of predictions by so called smart people that have been proven wrong.

Like:

27/09 The Y2K Bug

this one is always can be seen on both sides of the coin
Was the y2k not a big deal as there was so much prepwork thrown into it ? or because it wasn't a problem ?
i know some systems that didn't like the date flip (heck there are even some systems that didn't handle the GPS rollover a few months back)
the next one will be year 2038 , when epoch rolls over...
just think how many systems will be in place by 2038
