Fed Ex MD11 emergency landing YPDN Wed Night?

So a Fed Ex MD11 diverted into Darwin on Wed night just before midnight. Landed on 29 and was met with a full honours by the firies with equipment at both ends. The firies followed the aircraft to the gate. Was parked at the last aeorbridge and was still there this arvo.

Caused the already delayed air north 333 to do a bit of a tour as fed ex was given a priority approach and then taking up all the emergency equipment.

So what happened? Checked AV Herald. Nil.

I'm sure that whilst dealing with a possible emergency, the pilots of the fed ex aircraft felt horrible for delaying an air north flight by getting priority, and then using all of the emergency services that were there on hand..... The nerve of some of these pilots in emergency situations eh!!!??

hate to work with you.

the AN333 thing was a explanation of the surrounding circumstances not an official report on the landing itself. geez. lighten up a tad. you'll live longer.

obviously the aircraft with the problem gets ultimate priority.

thank god it didn't stack. I would have written a short para about all the diverts to which you would have thundered on about how that was insensitive or immoral to mention that the closure of the runway was a bit of a problem for other inbound aircraft.
