maybe QF should reintroduce AKL/LAX ?

OR

get JQ to do it.

NZ have a complete monopoly on AKL/LAX/AKL at present.

We can't. We haven't got any aeroplanes left because apparently it's more profitable to park 747's in the desert, or use A330's as coffee & muffin shops, than operate them on sectors where they were not profitable enough, as was declared at the time we withdrew from MEL-AKL-LAX-AKL-MEL.

I used that AKL - SIN route a few times with Jetstar. It was full the majority of the time I was on it and it was quite a nice flight...
I was surprised it got pulled? Maybe I just travelled on the full flights...

Well I guess you can't make a profit flying everyone at $349 one way even if the plane is full.

While SIA fills up their 777s at full rate.

That said SQ's pricing does seem bizarre at times - I wonder how they can fill some planes.

Was looking SIN-HKT in a few weeks (a simple 2hr flight)
Jetstar, Tiger, Air Asia all under $150 return (Air Asia the most expensive)
SilkAir $890.
Even Malaysian offering 1-stop in KUL for $200
