VA & UA ex MEL

VA dropping MEL/LAX in preference to UA, it must be a concern for VA pilots trying to upgrade & also to QF pilots who are about to lose their jobs, if trying to get work flying 777's.


At least some VA pilots who are upgrading to 777 might not have to move to SYD.

There will be no significant difference in VA 777 flying, XPT, Brisbane flights increase by the same amount Melbourne flights decrease.

The 77W can carry significantly more LAX-BNE than LAX-MEL.

I don't think there are significant numbers of QF pilots looking to VA's fleet of 5 777s anyway. Or were you pushing a barrow I didn't recognise?

Seniority dictates that QF pilots have the same chance of flying a VA B777 as I have in getting a DEC at Qantas.
