Fiji Airways A330 Heavy Landing
Lion Air make these blokes look like hard landing amateurs!
Accident: Lion B739 at Surabaya on Feb 1st 2014, hard landing

Low hour sub-continental FOs are turning Lion Air into an accident looking for a place to happen. Best comment on the thread so far: Metro man - 4Gs isn't a hard landing, it's an accident. Still, their air fares are cheap. Apparently this is the key metric for passenger satisfaction these days.

Near catastrophe is what I herd too.
Although could be wrong but story I was told is that they slammed it on in Sydney, around the 3G Mark. Didn't do an inspection for heavy landing and then dispatched it back to Fiji. Engineers in Fiji found severe cracking in the gear system and requires new landing gear. Or something like that.
Again, just what I herd. If correct, what a muppet.

Narita has probably the highest sphincter factor of any airport in the network since the close of Kai Tak. On a bad day Narita can bite you on the arse big time unless you are prepared to give it away over the fence and try again. Yet nowhere is it publicised and taught that this is so. More metal has been bent at Narita than any other airport over the past 10 years.

Psyco joe... Really, you are going to threaten me on a public forum... Grow up. (Was it you?) what were you planning on doing to me for making a comment on a rumour network... You just need to calm down a bit.
I was merely stating what I had herd. And the last comment, if you can't figure it out, was relating to IF they knowingly turned the aircraft without telling anyone about the landing does qualify as being a muppet! given how many peoples lives were at risk. And what would have happened if nothing was picked up in Fiji.
Again, Don't threaten me on here unless you are prepared to do so in person...
