why lock thread?

last time I checked this was a rumour network.... and I didn't live in China. Why was my thread about the Jetstar cadet dropping the gear during cruise locked? No names were mentioned. Please detail the reasons why the thread was locked or re-open it. Maybe the subject is too close to home for some?...how pathetic.

Why not provide more info if you have it? Mods seem less likely to lock threads when they contain detailed info rather than just casting aspersions. I, for one, would be interested to hear more about this and the QF7 inbound to DFW resulting in a tech delay for the QF8 to which you also alluded.

Anyone know what the Jetstar cadet was thinking when he lowered the gear between NZ and Aust during the cruise??...Last time I think the Capt ducks out for a wizzer with him on board, especially if there are a few bumps around??...

Aside from the pilot concerned, who else would know what the pilot would be thinking – if your rumour is factual?

Absolutely no facts; no date, no time, no flight details? How do you know it was a cadet? How do you know the captain was absent? Indeed, how do you know the alleged event actually occurred?

If you want to post rumours at least substantiate them with some plausible facts!
