Air New Zealand introduces new route

I see Air NZ has introduced a new route.

Bali is Air*New*Zealand

Will be interesting to see if it is as popular from NZ as it is across the tasman.

In case anybody is interested, NZ has uploaded their schedule for the new service:

Quote:
NZ 245 AKLDPS 2350 0520+1 Tue & Sat
NZ 246 DPSAKL 0725 1925 Wed & Sun
I have done an analysis of the new route here:

Air NZ enters the Bali fray « I like to get around

The flight times are definitely at odds with the conventional practice of evening turnarounds at DPS for Australia - Bali flights; Air NZ also does an evening turnaround at its other "bucket and spade" destination of HNL. It is interesting to see Air NZ's move into new seasonal holiday flights (Auckland to Maroochydore was recently announced).

Thanks
