San Mig for the 24th

Anyone who is going to find themselves in Manila tomorrow night (August 24) and would like a decent beer and a chance to reflect on 22 years please let me know. The old Amex card has a bit of spare room on it yet and I'll buy.

I will be drinking to a very interesting time including iron-clad friendships, my beloved 777, 2 Essendon Premierships, 5 grand-children, the sad state of Rupert Murdoch, the even sadder state of Peter Abeles, and to the remaining years of Hazel Hawke, a better asset to her country than was her ex.

For those not fortunate enough to have access to San Mig but who will be gathering somewhere in the world tomorrow night, enjoy your time together.

Sui Generis

As these are anonymous forums the origins of the contributions may be opposite to what may be apparent. In fact the press may use it, or the unscrupulous, or sciolists*, to elicit certain reactions.

*"sciolist"... Noun, archaic. "a person who pretends to be knowledgeable and well informed".
