AUS Perth Solus STAR 29JUN17

Does anyone know why arrivals into Perth from the Southeast for 03/06 are brought in via the Daylr STAR instead of the Solus STAR?

Yup, we have too much time on our hands. Just curious.

Been a long while since I looked at that airspace but from memory SOLUS is about 36nm south of PH right? And there is a higher base of CTA there than the other inbound routes?

Would hazard a guess that the solus STAR is never used as it would put aircraft OCTA while on descent profile on the STAR.. also from memory it would come pretty close to the YPJT training area?

That would explain an awful lot. Thanks.

I wonder why they put the effort and money into even making it if it's never used?
