Airport VHF radio transmitters

Airport VHF radio transmitters
Technical question. Does transmitter power vary according to its published function ? For example, would the Radar Controller's TX be more powerful than the GMC at any given airport or, say, less powerful than the ATIS ? What power levels are we talking about - 20 to 30 watts or am I nowhere near ? Forgive my ignorance but my knowledge is limited.
Thankyou.
Thankyou.

Each frequency in the UK has a licence issued by OFCOM. The output power is determined by the DOC (Designated operational coverage).
So yes, the output power does vary depending on it's function.
You won't find anything putting out much more the 25W.
