I've only spoken to civilian airfields and 1 mil being RAF Benson who said they will get back to me when their work experience coordinator is back.

I want to be an ATCO and did work experience at my local airport 2 years ago (not Newquay despite my name)! Worked in the based airline ops, spent a bit of time with RFFS and Spent a day or 2 in ATC...Well worth it if you can get in.

EDIT: You can also do work experience in ATC at RNAS Culdrose if I remember correctly.
