'Technical Issues' at MAN

Parents landed at MAN between 16:00 and 17:00 on 20/09/15 but were in a Stack for 20 minutes due to 'Technical Issues at MAN'. Anybody know why?

Maybe their arrival coincided with the change from single to dual runway operations causing short delay while the change took place. On Sundays dual runway ops are published to start at 1600L.

Some mutterings on Twitter and elsewhere on PPrune that a "drone" may have caused holding and diversions to Liverpool.

Yes, eglnyt is correct. It was due to a numpty operating a drone on a 5m final for 23R near Stockport. Only one diverted to Liverpool in the end and that was MON547V.
